I've been very worried about hurting my knees further than what i have, but i know hockey has the potential to get me psyched to lose weight and stay active. Here's the thing. When you get a pro within a skill drill, you can't tell the difference between them and an amateur- of a certain competitive level of course... The only difference on top is luck and their size! Most AAA Bantam boys got better stick handling skills then the superstars in the NHL, they blow through pilon obstacle courses like no one's business and the pros often stumble and can't keep up... Remember they are no better than you just more fortunate and bigger! Enjoy the sport and keep pounding them frozen water sheet surfaces on the earth's crust!

Way too much water. Official NHL rinks, the ice depth is 3/4 of an inch or 0.75" thic. A standard community/public rink, it's around 1 to 1 1/2. And to strengthen the rink surface, lay a few inches of sand first and then mist water to build ice.

This just shows hockey can be and is a sport for anyone 😄
